Carinthia is a land of diversity and multilingualism – the actors should be found and called to responsibility

„Such actions should be very severely condemned !“ With clear words reacted the Carinthian Governor Peter Kaiser to the newest damages on  the two lingual place-name signs- this time in the market town Eberndorf. There the unknown persons painted the Slovenian names on six name  signs with black lacquer. In the past weeks already a  series of similar damages was discovered.

„We are living in the 21st century in the heart of  the Europe. Such actions are totally unacceptable for our open and social society, which we have especially developed in the last years“ , stressed Kaiser and continued afterwards:“ Carinthia is a country of diversity and multilingualism – naivety, narrow- mindedness and always  thinking from the past  have since a long time nothing to do in the Alps-Adriatic region.
