At an extraordinary General Assembly, Martin Pečar was elected as the new chairman of the Alps-Adriatic Centre. He succeeds Miroslav Polzer, who stepped down from this position due to his international commitments.
The General Assembly expressed its gratitude to Miroslav Polzer for his numerous years of commitment to the Alps-Adriatic Centre and looks forward to his further cooperation within the framework of cross-border projects.
The new chairman, Martin Pečar, who was introduced to the General Assembly by Secretary General Štefan Lesjak, reaffirmed his clear commitment to consistently continue and further develop the existing projects together with current stakeholders, institutions and municipalities. The aim is to further actively deepen the cooperation in the Alps-Adriatic region as a mutual cultural and economic area and to strengthen it sustainably, especially in geopolitically challenging times.
