After 16 years as the ruling force in Hungary, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s FIDESZ party was voted out of power on Sunday. The TISZA party of Hungarian opposition leader Péter Magyar won a two-thirds majority of parliamentary seats and will now lead the political affairs of our neighboring country. Péter Magyar himself was a long-time ally in Orbán’s movement. What changes this power shift will bring remains to be seen.
