On the 31st of January Vila Vipolže hosted an important interstate meeting on the field of protection and rescue. The delegations from Austrian Carinthia and the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief met to discuss the possibilities of offering cross border help in the cases of natural catastrophic events.
At this occasion the Mayor Franc Mužič, who welcomed the delegations and was also present at the meeting together with the Director of Municipal Administration Anita Manfreda and the Director of the Brda Institute for Tourism Tina Novak Samec, expressed his honor, that Brda host such a meeting.
In the Carinthian delegation there were the State Counsellor Daniel Fellner, the Vice President of the Cabinet and personnel officer of the Counsellor Bernhard Novak, the chief of the fire fighters and member of the crisis management of the district Voelkermarkt and Mayor of the Municipality of Neuhaus Patrick Skubel, the President of the AACC and Mayor of the Municipality of Globasnitz Bernard Sadovnik and the Financial Advisor of the AACC Mag. Štefan Lesjak.
Let‘s add that the Counsellor Fellner , who is basicly responsible for municipalities, protection at catastrophes, firefighting, communal building and building culture, education, hydrography, regulation of waters and protectve regulation of waters, visited Brda for the first time and together with his team saw the Šmartno village and Brda Vine Cellar.
