On Thursday, 22nd April, 2021 the representatives of the member states agreed upon basic principles for the essential technical specifications of the Digital Green Certificate in the frame of the eHealth Network. .The so called Green Passport is a proof that a person has been vaccinated against Covid-19 virus ; has received a negative test result or has recovered from Covid-19.
The certificate should enable safe and free movement during the pandemic . It is expected to be introduced in the member states by June; in Austria however already by May this year.
The Member countries are asked – parallel to the process, which is running on the EU- level- to introduce also on the state level all the necessary measures, which would lead to an early implementation of the Covid Passport.
