The Slovenian day at the Villacher Kirchtag was an impressive demonstration of active cross-border cooperation. Together with Martin Pečar, the President of the Alps Adriatic Centre and Secretary General Stefan Lesjak, we had an excellent opportunity to exchange views with Mayor Günther Albel, Vice Mayor Gerda Sandriesser and Carinthian Councillor for Education Peter Reichmann about the future of the Alps-Adriatic region. Petra Marušič from the Brda Tourist Board also participated in this discussion.
Particulary impressive was the diversity of Slovenian regions – including Brda, Moravče and Bled -, which delighted visitors with their products and presentations and inspired them to visit these neighbouring regions.
