On Thursday, 1st July 2021 Slovenia took over the presidency of the EU for the period of the next six months. Under slogan Together. Resilient. Europe. the programme of the Slovenian presidency is concentrated on four main fields:
- EU‘s economic recovery, reinforcment of its resilience and of its strategical autonomy
- reflects on the future of Europe
- strengthening the rule of law and European values
- increasement of stability and security in the EU neighbourhood
Concretely are on the agenda especially the implementation of the EU recovery package NextGenerationEU, package Fit-for-55 for new climate tasks and the digital transformation of Europe. Furthermore the Slovenian presidency will actively support the growth of the resilience in the EU on the fields of medical, energetical, climate and cyber crisis in order to strengthen the cooperation, mutual support and solidarity behavement in the favour of all EU citizens.
