On Sunday, August 2, 2026 the »Pilgrimage of the three Slovenias to Holy Mountain« took place at this location near Tarvisio (Monte Lussari, Italy). This year was the 38th edition of this traditional long-lasting event. Among the participants were the President of AACC, Klagenfurt Martin Pečar, State Secretary of the Republic of Slovenia and former Minister for Slovenians Abroad Helena Jaklitsch and Archibishop Ivan Jurkovič, Apostolic Nuncio to Canada.
The Holy Mountain is a symbolic meeting place for Slovenes from the Republic of Slovenia, Slovenians living in the neigboring countries and Slovenes living all around the world. Therefore the annual pilgrimage unites religious and cultural elements, stimulates communication and cooperation and strengthens the mutual Slovenian cultural space across national borders.
