The recently concluded 2026 FIFA World Cup has crowned a new champion, as Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in the final game.
Austria’s path at the Cup ended in the round of 16 and was eliminated by Spain 3-0. Interestingly, the Austrian team was the only one out of all the national teams to play against both finalists, namey in the preliminary group stage, they also faced Argentina and lost the match 2-0.
The event drew a record-breaking 6,81 million fans and generated $15 billion for FIFA, boosted by premium final tickets going up to nearly $ 11.000.
