On Friday, 30th October 2020 the European Commission discussed the division of financial funds in the height of 508 million euros to all together 75 research projects in the medical field. The incentives are actually meant for the following fields of the research : cancer , neurological diseases, infection illnesses, cronical difficulties and for antibiotic resistences. The investments should also include the development of the digital diagnostics.
With this distribution the EU takes responsibility of the coordination of the national endeavours and international cooperation. The projects in total include 1158 participants from 58 countries. The money incentives will be distributed in the frame of the European research and innovation program Horizon Europe 2020.
