The Alps-Adriatic Centre continues to serve as an important platform for dialogue, exchange, and cross-border cooperation – in the spirit of European togetherness and genuine good-neighborly relations.

On October 31, 2025, the General Assembly of the Alps-Adriatic Centre for Cross-Border Cooperation took place. During this meeting, a new board was elected, and the opportunity was also taken to honor distinguished individuals for their long-standing commitment and contributions.
The outgoing chairman, Bernard Sadovnik, was warmly recognized for his 25 years of dedicated and successful leadership. The Centre also expressed its sincere gratitude to the long-serving Secretary General, Mag. Filip Warasch, for his tireless and devoted service over the past 25 years.
The General Assembly elected the following members to the executive board:
- Dr. Miroslav Polzer – Chairman
- Dr. Igor Roblek – Deputy Chairman
- Mag. Stefan Lesjak – Secretary General
- Mag. Lukas Gradnig – Financial Advisor
The newly elected team aims to further deepen cross-border cooperation in the Alps-Adriatic region, strengthen existing partnerships, and create new momentum for joint projects in the fields of culture, education, economy, and sustainable development.
