In the days from August 30th to September 2nd , 2024, it was lively again on the meadow in Bleiburg. Many interesting events took place , without doubt the highlights were on Saturday, August 31st with the official Market opening , followed by the opening of the 25th Alps- Adria Exhibition.
At both events besides the Mayor of Bleiburg Stefan Visotschnig and the Carinthian Governor Dr. Peter Kaiser many honored guests were present, among them also the representitives of Bleiburg’s sister Municipalities Goriška Brda (Slovenia), Lovran (Croatia) and Codroipo (Italy).
The President of the AACC and the Mayor of the Municipality Globasnitz Bernard Sadovnik was present during the opening of the Alps-Adriatic Exhibition. Prior to the opening he met in Bleiburg the Chancellor of Austria Karl Nehammer and the Deputy Governor of Carinthia Martin Gruber. In the Alps-Adria exhibition hall also our members Štefan Lesjak and Peter Lapanje took their time to discuss with hosts and visitors the actual problematics from economy and tourism and the possibilities of further development of the Alps- Adriatic region from the view of huge challenges, caused by climate changes.
