Agreement on the EU budget for 2022

On Monday, 15th November 2021 , the  European Economic and Financial Affairs Council reached an agreement on the EU budget for the next year. For 2022 the EU Parliament and the Council planned the EU budget in the amount of almost 170 billion euros.

With the agreed amount of the budget the current economic recovery,  assistance at climate changes and digital transition will be supported. Therefore for environmental protection and climate targets 47,5 million euros more are at disposal. Following the wishes of the EU Parliament, which declared youth and health as the main targets, the sum for Erasmus + exchage program for students and persons, who are being educated, increased for 35 million euros. 51 million euros more will be available for the reinforcement of the common medical care.
