On September 30, 2025 Carinthia was prominently represented on the agenda of the SEDEC expert commission of the European Committee of the Regions. Its Governor dr. Peter Kaiser used this opportunity to include the voice of Carinthia and to present some concrete issues in the daily program of the meeting in Bruxelles. Herewith the central question is the how the regions can actively cooperate in the frame of the EU-politics and which impulses they can activate on the fields of innovations, economy and culture.
On this day it became once more very clear how connected are the relations among EU strategies and regional interests.
With a view of the coming months the following is very obvious: the SEDEC Committee remains the decisive platform to which the regions transfer their standpoints, where they exchange mutual experiences and also have the possibility to contribute concrete solutions for the future of the EU. For Carinthia this means a continuous chance to express its own perspectives, initiatives and inovation projects and to include them into decisive processes at the EU – level.
