The delegation from the Slovenian Region Goriška Brda came with delicious cherries to the New Square also this year. The Mayor Christian Scheider and Deputy Mayor Ronald Rabitsch sincerely greeted friends from the neighbour country and enjoyed tasty fruits together with them.
It is said that the best cherries grow in Slovenia. More precisely within the area of the municipalities Medana, Dobrovo and Šmartno. It was possible to try them this morning at New Square, where they were sold. „The Cherry Festival“ has a long tradition – namely this event takes place every year at the initiative of the Alps-Adriatic Centre (AACC ).
The Mayor Christian Scheider and Deputy Mayor Ronald Rabitsch accepted the delegation from Brda with the Mayor Franc Mužič and Anita Manfreda (Director of municipal administration) together with musicians and cherries vendors in front of the City Hall.
