EU-Summit: The migration politics will be tightened

At the meeting of the European Summit, which was held on June 28th and 29th, a new direction was set in the matters of the migration  politics. The European state and government presidents supported the intention to arrange accepting centers out and »controlled centers« inside EU and to increase the number of employees of the European border agency Frontex and to amend their mandate. So the people, who are saved in the Mediteranean sea, should be put to »controlled centers«, where it would be checked in a fast procedure, if the people are looking for support or if they are economic migrants.

In the meantime the German federal government after their internal dispute agreed upon the fact, that the future aplicants for asylum would be rejected in some cases already at the German border. Herewith a scenario of a direct rejection on the German-Austrian border is possible, based upon a necessary administrative agreement. The Austrian federal government is now treating its southern borders with Italy and Slovenia as endangered and has already forecasted measures to prevent »negative consequences for Austria and its population«.
