In the future the EU member countries, which are corrupted or which hinder the rule of law, should not receive any more funds from the European budget or payments to them could be diminished. Such proposal of the EU – Commission was accepted last week by the European Parliament with 397 votes for, 158 votes against and 69 neutral votes.
New regulations should come to force in the frame of the next more years‘ budget from 2021 to 2027. Especially the events connected with the rule of law regarding Poland and Hungary brought the EU-Commisson to the point to connect the payments from the budget with the consideration of such principles.
