On November 9th the traditional Feast of St. Martin was held in Šmartno in the Municipality Goriška Brda . In addition to a big number of domestic population also numerous visitors from Italy and Carinthia were present at the feast.
The mild and calm weather and the culinary delights were a reason for an excellent atmosphere.
In the House of Culture the representatives of the AACC met the present Mayors from the region and also the Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon. Their discussions were orientated towards even more intensive cooperation in the Alps-Adriatic Regions in the times of political and social irritations as well as the actual weak cunjuncture trends.
In the late evening hours the Deputy Mayor of Števerjan/San Floriano del Collio Martina Valentinčič, Mayor of Števerjan Marjan Drufovka, the representative of Istrian Municipality Matulje, Mayor of Brda Franc Mužič, the Slovenian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon, Mag. Štefan Lesjak – AACC and the member of Municipality Council Brda Zvezdan Prinčič relaxed and ended together the pleasant day.
