General Assembly of the AACC

 

Alps-Adriatic Centre for Cross-border Co-operation: intensive networking in the Alps -Adriatic area and deepening of the co-operation with countries and        regions   of the  Southeast Europe  are in the foreground of future activities

On Friday, 3rd December 2021,  in the premises of the AACC in Klagenfurt the regular assembly of the Alps-Adriatic Centre took place, with participants-  members from Austria and Slovenia.

The President Bernard Sadovnik stressed in his report the successful activity of the Centre in the functional period of four years, especially in the field of cross border projects between Austria and Slovenia . One of the main focuses were  the networking and  the co-operation of the municipalities from Slovenia and Carinthia, with the actual municipal co-operations and intercultural dialogue. The members of the AACC also welcomed the successful co-operation with the regions from Southeast Europe as well as the implementation of the cherry festivals in Austria.

In future the AACC will strongly endeavour for a consistent networking in Alps-Adriatic area  and for a further deepening of relations with countries and regions of the  Southeast Europe. Again Bernard Sadovnik, the Mayor of Globasnitz , was undividedly  elected as the President and Dr. Heinrich Schuster was chosen  as his deputy. Mag. Filip Warasch remains the Secretary General of the AACC. Among others the President of the Union of Slovenian Carinthians Manuel Jug and the Mayor of General Assembly of the the Brda Municipality Franc Mužič were elected as the members of  the Management Board.

In the continuation  the council of the  experts was established.
