The Vice President of the Alps-Adriatic Centre for Cross-Border-Cooperation (AACC ) and the former General Director of the ORF Gerhard Weis celebrates his 80th birthday on Monday, the 1st of October. The AACC Executive Board congratulates its longtime colleague and fellow on his special personal day and wishes him a lot of health, optimism and many more years full of joy and fulfillment of wishes.
The Austrian journalist and media manager Gerhard Weis, born on the 1st of October, 1938, in Vienna, was the General Manager of the ORF from 1998 to 2001. In particular he is a fervent European, who always reminds and encourages us, that the united and common European Union must begin in our own minds and on our doorsteps.
