Yesterday, on August 22nd, a very special meeting was going on in Brda. Upon invitation of the Mayor Franc Mužič the Governor of Carinthia Peter Kaiser and the Minister for Slovenians abroad Matej Arčon visited Brda. They were accompanied also by the Mayor of the Carinthian Municipality Globasnitz/Globasnica and at the same time the President of the Alps Adriatic
Centre for cross-border Co-operation in Klagenfurt (AACC) Bernard Sadovnik.
Namely the Municipality of Brda is cultivating for many years close friendly contacts with Carinthia- with the support of the AACC and the friend of Brda Bernard Sadovnik. Therefore it is not a surprise that Kaiser while visiting Šmartno and listening to the description of the milestones of the co-operation with Carinthian municipalities visited also the Klagenfurt house, which was renovated two years ago as a symbol of the long standing fruitful friendship with the Municipality of Klagenfurt. Also the Director of the municipal Administration of Brda Anita Manfreda welcomed sincerely the coming guests.
