In the course of the plenary meeting of the EU-parliament in Strasbourg on September 11th, 2018 the Greek Minister President and the member of the EU parliament Alexis Tsipras stressed, that Greece would continue its actual economy politics and would additionally implement new reforms.
In the background of this assurement are the demands of the EU partners and the International Monetary Fund (IMF ). On the basis Greece is supposed to decrease the number of the government employees, privatise the state ownership, reform the pension system, fight against tax indiscipline and modernise its economy. As a compensation Greece received from the year 2010 the financial aid in the height of almost 289 billion of euros. In August this year the third- last saving program for this still highly endebted country come to the end.
