The city Klagenfurt will be in the future the member of the Alps-Adriatic Centre for Cross-border Co-operation (AACC), is the information, coming from the city’s Senate. In the frame of various projects there are around 100 municipalities and partner institutions active in the Centre, its President is Bernard Sadovnik, the Mayor of Globasnitz/Globasnica. Among other things, the AACC organizes a »Cherry Festival« every year in the spring with cherries from Goriška Brda in Slovenia, including in the center of Klagenfurt.
