On July 9th, 2019 the Mayoress of the Carinthia‘s main city Klagenfurt am Wörthersee Maria Luise Mathiaschitz visited – as already agreed in February – the Municipality Brda. Together with its Mayor Franc Mužič she signed the rental contract for the „Klagenfurt‘s house“ in Šmartno. They also agreed upon a further and more intensive cooperation on the fields of culture and tourism. The first project from this cooperation will begin already in autumn, since Austria will participate for the first time in the project Art Circle. The Mayoress was totally astonished by the beautiness of the Middle Ages village Šmartno.
