In the course of the past month it was possible to produce almost one fourth of the power consumption in domestic wind turbines.
The wind energy meant so much cleaner power and therefore gave an important contribution to the improvement of the Austrian environmental situation.
The wind power production reaches in winter its maximum – in the time of the year, when the demand for the electric energy is especially high and other sources of renewable energy produce smaller amounts of power. The wind energy has here a decisive meaning.
In this moment there are however no funds disposable for new wind parks in the ecological legislation and there is no perspective for new wind park projects. New plans are not in sight. Only a new law concerning renewable energy can bring the development of new wind parks. The federal government foresees as target hundert percent renewable power supply till 2030 and climate neutrality till 2040. Wind has in these plans an important meaning.
