End of August the traditional Bleiburger Wiesenmarkt attracted again numerous visitors to the town. This year a special highlight was the presentation of the Municipality Goriška Brda in the Alpe-Adria tent, which is for more than thirty years a lively symbol for the true neighbourhood and cultural exchange in the Alpe-Adria Region. The culinary delicacies and excellent wines offered the opportunity to celebrate close cooperation and friendship without borders. The partner municipalities of town Bleiburg also used this chance to underline the connectedness and to highlight the meaning of mutual values. So the Wiesenmarkt once more offered not only the tradition and entertainment, but also stressed the cross border friendship and a strong togetherness.
The representatives of the AACC met the spokepersons of the partner municipalities and discussed the possibilities of further intensification of the cross border cooperation. Among others from the Municipality Brda were present the Mayor Franc Mužič, the Director of Municipality Administration Anita Manfreda, the Municipality Councellor Silvestra Elen Brasnić Saffigna as well as Peter Lapanje and Financial Advisor Stefan Lesjak rom the Alps-Adriatic Centre Klagenfurt.
