In the pulsating final of Euro 2024 Spain well deserved beat England with the result 2:1 and on the top of Europe succeeded Italy, which also beat England in the final in London three years ago.
In Germany the Spanish National Football Team won all seven games and – as already said – justified received its fourth title of the European champions.
With the final game against England the 17th European Football Championship, which offered 51 games, so came to its end. The tournament fascinated the people in Germany and all over the world. More than 2,7 million of spectators watched the games of Euro 2024 on 10 German stadiums and more than 5 billion observers watched the games in front of their televisions. Both figures mean record numbers.
At Euro 2024 also the national teams of Austria and Slovenia participated. They reached round of 16, for a step more some luck ran out for both of them.
It is interesting that both national teams will play against each other already on 6th September, 2024 in Ljubljana, in the frame of the UEFA Nations League. Besides Austria and Slovenia there are also the teams of Kazahstan and Norway in the group. Therefore football fans will for sure again enjoy the game after a break shorther than 2 months.
