On Friday, February 9th, 2018 the Slovenian Minister of Infrastructure Peter Gašperšič and the Minister for Slovenians abroad Gorazd Žmavc visited Carinthia and attended in Bleiburg the first mutual session of the Carinthian Regional Council and the Managing Community of the district Voelkermarkt.
The Ministers started their visit in Klagenfurt, where they met the Carinthian Governor Peter Kaiser and the State Counsellor Rolf Holub at the seat of the Carinthian Government.
In the foreground of the discussions were themas, connected with the transport- road and railway- connections between Slovenia and Carinthia , and the possibilities of the closest possible cooperation of both regions. At this occasion the Mayor of Globasnitz /Globasnica Bernard Sadovnik stated, that the mentioned meeting was very important and promising and that it can bring a historical improvement in the development of the Southern Carintha.
