Last week Brda hosted the President of the Chamber of Carinthian Agriculture, namely Deputy-Mayor of Municipality Feldkirchen Siegfried Huber – topic of discussion agricultural cooperation.
From the side of the host the participating persons were: the Mayor of Brda Franc Mužič, the Director of the Municipality Administration Anita Manfreda, the President of the Commission for cross-border cooperation Silvestra Elen Brasnic Saffigna, member of the Commission for Environment and Spatial planning and the Director of the Wine Cellar Brda Silvan Peršolja and the Counsellor Zvezdan Prinčič. The President of the Carinthian Chamber was accompanied by the AACC representative Igor Roblek.
The hosts made a presentation of their municipality, main elements of Brda economy with emphasis on viticulture and wine-making, friut farming, the cases of their successful projects, activities on the field of renovations of cultural monuments, problems and challenges concerning EU measures and subsidies, which Slovenian farmers are facing, and finally the potential of mutual cooperation refering to agricultural sector.
Also they presented Siegfried Huber the »de Baguer Castle Cellar« and the »Brda Cellar«.
