Bright future is not to be expected

In the expert circles there are already numerous worry causing voices, which forecast a long war in the Ukraine. Are we maybe only at the beginning of a geopolitical crisis and an exceptional humanitary situation?

All the above mentioned is present  in the moment when the corona crisis seems to be subsiding. In any case this situation brings the EU member countries, especially from the aspect on their financial situation, in front of completed facts: the corona crisis cost us a lot of money, in the same time our Europe is in the crossroads position among green turn, digital transformation and strategical autonomy.

It is however sure that the EU member countries must take a lot of money to their hands – also on the medium and long term. As rarely before the targeted public investments into the future orientated key sectors, not the last also the incentives for private investors and furthermore the economy growth should be supported. Additional working places should be created!

Is this compatible with the way back to strict budget discipline?
