The former President of the Republic of Slovenia is the recipient of this year’s Kugy Award, honoured by the Community of Carinthian Slovenes ( SKS ), one of the umbrella associations of the Slovenian minority in Austria. Borut Pahor will receive this award due to his efforts and the contribution to the harmony in Carinthia and for strengthening the common cultural and cross-border as well as the Apls-Adriatic region in the common Europe.
