From 1st July Spain took over the Presidency of the Council and presented its priorities: With defense and energy there are two important issues on the agenda, which we will illuminate more closely this week.
The Spanish Presidency of the Council of Europe will promote the unity among the member countries , especially by the strengthening of the areas, which are mostly affected from the actual challenges.
Spanish Presidency has also plans in the field of energy: The accelerated transformation of the energy sector makes it necessary to actualise the national instruments of planning and to bring them in harmony with the new reality. Additionally will the Spanish Presidency follow the progress in providing a solid foundation for the development of the European hydrogen market with the aim to provide security and promote investments.
